I don’t particularly enjoy writing these kind of “teaching” post simply because I cannot focus on a good title and particular keywords, but since I started one yesterday, I feel obliged to come up with this lest those who read the post yesterday starts complaining like, “Ah Pek talk cock. Talk only keyword focused posts, but never say how to focus on keywords in a post. I think he also don’t know lah.”

Okay, like I said yesterday, to rank well for certain keywords as a novice blogger, the word has to have a big search volume, meaning that keywords gets lots of searches. At the same time, there should not be many search results for the word. Then you have a good chance to rank in the first page of Google search results. How does a keyword focused article look like? Check out my “Pontianak In Malacca” Post.

First the title. All four main keywords are there. Pontianak, Malacca, Melaka and Pulau Gadong. The important keyword, pontiank, appears in the first sentence and the last sentence. The keywords appears in my tags. You go and do a search for any of these keywords in Google and you will see that post appearing in the first or second place in the Search result. You can use every combination of the words, like “pontianak Melaka” or “pontianak pulau gadong” or malacca Pontianak or whichever way you want to combine the words and you will still see that post in the first page. Now this post is going to give me a couple of thousand page views over the next two or three days before the news die down and people stops searching for it. Then I look for another keyword. It won’t make me any money. LOL. but I tell you, see beh song wan, the feeling and when you know how, you can use this technique for your articles in your Adsense blog to attract all those search hits.

To write a keyword focused article.

Title your post with the most important keyword that people will use when they do a search.

Include the keywords in your first sentence. You see when you look at the search results, there will be a short excerpt of your post under the main title. If your keywords are there, you will have more authority. End the first paragraph with your keyword.

Include one or two paragraph in the middle with words related to the keyword but not the keywords itself. Like say if you are writing about “breast implant” (since I like breasts so much) the second or third paragraph should have words like “gel” or “silicon” or whatever that has something to do with enlarging the breast. No mention of the keywords in these paragraphs.

At the last paragraph, include again once or twice the keywords. make sure you use it at least once before you end the article. Publish it. If you have a very “cold” keyword focused article that not many has written about, that post will get indexed in a few minutes because Google do not have enough information for people who are searching for that term.

The Google bots will come. Read your title and see your keywords. Yes you have something they want. They read your first sentence. Yes again, this post is appropriate and really talking about what they want. To go down and yes again, you have something related to what you are writing about. They go down some more and holy god, yes again, you mentioned what they were looking for again! You have exactly what people are looking for. The Google bots will put you at the top of their search results.

And you know what? You don’t even need to have good contents. You can actually write nonsense. So when you still read blogs telling you to write great contents so you can make money, tell them to go and fly a kite high high. That is old school. It is only good if you intend to make a name and a reputation for yourself. I’m not very interested in that nowadays. I’m only interested in keywords and how to focus those keywords in my post so I can get lots of hits. This post notwithstanding. This post won’t get me any extra search hits. I’m just wasting my time here.
